A company can only be declared as unipersonal when there is only one shareholder of the company who is the sole owner and administration.

A company can either be created as a unipersonal company or when a non unipersonal company chooses to become unipersonal. When the later occurs then it is compulsory for the letters S.L.U. (U for unipersonal) to be placed after the trading name of the company so that a third party wishing to deal with that company understands their trading status.

Mr. Ruiz Castillo will help, either with the creation of a new company, or deal with all documentation to change a company to a S.L.U. company.

My wife and I need to make a Spanish Will as we just purchased our retirement home in the Granada Area. We had one week left before returning to UK so time was against us, Val phoned Jose Maria, on our behalf, we had a long phone conversation , I explained our problem, Jose Maria, told me it normally takes two weeks to arrange a Will and to get all documents completed , but he would see what he could do for, us. We arranged to  meet him at the Notaries office in Baza two days later On the Thursday. We met and Jose Maria had worked very hard. He had all documents completed and within two hours we had our Spanish Will, and the level of service he gave to us was just brilliant, we could not of asked or wished for better. We could then go home happy in the knowledge that all was legal in Spain. Whilst in uk Jose Maria emailed us explaining further details to us, and we arranged to meet on our next trip   to Spain, We met and had further consultation with Jose Maria, We have instructed Jose Maria that we wish him to be our family Lawyer and to deal with all our Financial and legal requirements in Spain. We have also asked him to be the Executer to our estate in Spain.

We have not known José María Ruiz Castillo long – and that was our problem. If we had known him when we embarked on buying properties in Spain, we would not have needed him at a late stage to sort out a purchase that went wrong. We would have known that we could have trusted his advice and professionalism. As he is a Spanish national we were able to rely on his knowledge and understanding of Spanish law and his excellent English has made communications easy during our limited dealings with him. We would recommend everyone not to cut corners but to consult José María at an early stage
