The professional involvement of Jose Maria Ruiz Castillo covers all aspects of Labour Law. In his role as accountant he is responsiblefor the administration of the company, keeping all the company accounts, dealing with all tax related issues of the company and dealing with all the Labour Law related to the administration of the company:-

They include:-
-  preparation of wages to be paid to the staff monthly: after which he will send one copy to the owner of the company for their signature and on receipt of their wages these will also be signed by the recipient.  The second copy will be retained by M. Ruiz Castillo within that company´s file.
-  Mr. Ruiz Castillo will then enter this information into the company accounts.
-  He will issue payment for the company monthly Social Security.
-  He will issue payment for the Social Security on behalf of the employees

Apart from these administration related aspects he will also undertake any court case and litigation, representing the company, resulting from a claim made by a former employee against the company, since the introduction of the Labour Law. He will legally represent the company fom the inital stages of a case against them until the court case, during any appeal case or if necessary trying to reach an agreement with all parties concerned in the case.

Jose Maria acted as our lawyer for the purchase of our house in the Alpujarra and for the last three years he has continued to advise us and act as our financial representative.  He has confounded all our expectations of a solicitor based on our experience in England. On one occasion at his office in Granada he identified a problem with the registration of our house and immediately arranged to meet us the next day at the Notario’s office in Orgiva and begin the process of sorting what might have been a complex and long-running problem without his speedy and hands-on intervention. His English is excellent and he is easy to communicate with. Specialising in British clients enables him to appreciate things from a British perspective. He understands our concerns and communicates advice clearly. Knowing that Jose Maria is always accessible at the end of a mobile (or if he’s busy he will always return our call as soon as he’s available) has given us security and peace of mind in dealing with the Spanish legal and tax system. Not only is his professional work of the highest quality but he always has time to relate on a more human and personal level and we have learnt much about Granada and Spanish culture from our enjoyable conversations with him.
